Job summary

The Sydney Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Accredited Physiotherapist to join our 7-day service, with roles in surgical wards, inpatient rehabilitation, and day programs. The successful candidate will work five days a week and may be offered permanent part-time or full-time employment depending on fit.

Qualifications

Job description

The Sydney Private Hospital (TSPH) is currently a 90 bed surgical and rehabilitation hospital with 8 operating theatres. The standard caseload is made up of Orthopaedic, Cardiac, Neurological and General Reconditioning patients, spanning across the surgical ward, inpatient rehabilitation, and our Day Only program. The hospital is acclaimed for its excellent Rehabilitation service and rapidly growing Heart Wellness Program.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and Accredited Physiotherapist at The Sydney Private Hospital to accommodate our growing 7-day service. We are looking for a therapist who is eager, energetic and enjoys working in an MDT. The appropriate candidate should be available 5 days a week. We are open to a permanent part time or full-time position, depending on the suitability of the candidate.

DUTIES

• Working as an independent physiotherapist on the surgical ward, inpatient rehabilitation wards and day rehabilitation.
• Ability to treat patients independently as well as in a supervised group setting.
• Work in an MDT and participate in active patient discharge planning.
• Application of relevant clinical knowledge and EBP toensure the level of care remains at the highest standard.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in the Private Hospital sector is highly desirable
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Physiotherapy
• Minimum 2years experience working as a Physiotherapist
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, co-workers and other health professionals

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Working with Children Certificate
• Current National Police Check (within 6 months)
• AHPRA accreditation
