Job summary

Longueville Private Hospital in Sydney is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our rehab team on a casual basis, with work in inpatient and day-only rehabilitation (DOR). You will manage medical and rehabilitation inpatients, run group and 1:1 sessions, and contribute to our multidisciplinary Heart Wellness Program as part of a growing private hospital group.

APHA registration and two years’ experience are required; shifts are weekdays with some weekend availability, and there may be

Job description

Longueville Private Hospital (LPH) is a 38-bed hospital that provides rehabilitation, acute medical care and day only rehabilitation. Our focus is empowering patients to better manage their own health, using multidisciplinary expertise and new technology.

Recent renovations have incorporated a large, brightly lit, open plan gymnasium with the latest equipment and technology linking our existing hospital to the new Longueville Wellness Centre.

LPH is part of the Macquarie Health Corporation Group, which includes 12 Hospitals in NSW and Victoria, and there is opportunity to work with other hospitals within the group.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced, positive physiotherapist to join our team, who will have the flexibility to work in both our inpatient and day only rehabilitation (DOR) areas on a casual basis.

You will be responsible for the management of medical and rehabilitation inpatients in group sessions or 1:1 treatment in our inpatient area and responsible for the care of our (DOR) patients. Our comprehensive day only rehabilitation programs are multidisciplinary and focus on the individual rehabilitation goals of each patient. DOR programs focus on general reconditioning, orthopedic, as well as our specialized Heart Wellness Program.

The preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience in rehabilitation. Your skill set will enable you to support adult/aged patients with an interesting and varied range of conditions including medical, orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiac.

This is a casual position, with shifts available on weekdays. Our services usually run between the hours of 8:00 - 4pm, and there may be some flexibility with start and finish time.

In addition to the above position there may be some availability for other shifts on weekends. There is potential for this casual position to lead to permanent part time for the right candidate.
