Qualifications

• ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist with 1–2 years of clinical experience.
• Experience in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation preferred.
• Hydrotherapy, strength and conditioning, Pilates, dry needling or massage are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and exercise prescription for clients.
• Deliver supervised rehabilitation programs.

Are you an Exercise Physiologist with 1-2 years of clinical experience looking to take the next step in your career?

Illawarra Rehabilitation Clinic is expanding, and we're seeking a motivated ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team for 1-2 days per week, with the outlook of increasing hours and days.

Located in Warilla, our purpose-built rehabilitation facility features a warm-water hydrotherapy pool, a fully equipped rehabilitation gym, private treatment rooms, and an experienced team committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes.

About the Role

You will work with a broad range of clients recovering from injury, surgery and chronic health conditions, providing evidence-based exercise interventions in both our gym and hydrotherapy environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting assessments and exercise prescription
• Delivering supervised rehabilitation programs
• Hydrotherapy treatment sessions
• Monitoring progress and documenting outcomes
• Liaising with physiotherapists, surgeons, GPs and other health professionals

About You

You will:

• Be an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)
• Have 1-2 years of clinical experience
• Enjoy working in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be motivated, reliable and patient-focused
• Thrive in a collaborative team environment
• Experience with hydrotherapy, strength and conditioning, Pilates, dry needling or massage will be highly regarded but is not essential.
