Job summary

Sell & Parker is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our operations team in Kings Park. You will operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently and support day-to-day yard tasks while learning new skills and collaborating with colleagues.

The role requires experience in metal manufacturing or mining, familiarity with excavators or material handlers, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Metal, Manufacturing or Mining Industry.
• Experience in excavators and/or material handlers.
• Knowledge of operational characteristics of a variety of heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance requirements of heavy equipment.
• Proven experience performing a variety of skilled construction and maintenance tasks.
• Experience in manual handling.
• Ability to interpret and work off nests.
• High level organisation skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to attain and retain fitness for work (including clear Drug and Alcohol Screens).
• Currently have the right to work in Australia.
• Pass a Police Check.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner and performing a variety of tasks to assist in the day-to-day operation of the yard. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team.

ABOUT YOU

• Proven experience in Metal, Manufacturing or Mining Industry, desirable but not essential.

HOURS

• Monday to Friday 6:30am to 5:30pm

• Saturday as required
