Job summary

Synergie in Cairns, Queensland is seeking a reliable Forklift and Machine Operator to join our production and dispatch team. This permanent role involves operating forklifts safely to move materials and support manufacturing and mill operations.

You will handle flashings, gutters, and related steel products, while performing general warehouse duties. We offer 38-hour weeks with an option to work 4 hours on Saturday and strong safety training.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude.
• Willing to undergo full training with experienced staff.
• Experience with forklifts and basic warehouse processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders following warehouse processes.
• Support manufacturing and mill operations with steel products.
• Assist with general warehouse, yard, and production duties.
• Maintain workplace safety, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Work on a specific load manifest with the team.
• Receive full training and support from experienced colleagues.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift and Machine Operator to join our team. This permanent role involves operating forklifts safely to load, unload, and move materials essential to production and dispatch activities. You will also be pivotal in supporting manufacturing and mill operations by handling flashings, gutters, and related steel products, as well as assisting with general warehouse and production duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials for production and dispatch
• Pick, pack, loading (high reach)and prepare customer orders accurately following standard warehouse processes
• Support manufacturing and mill operations, including handling steel flashings, gutters, and related products
• Assist with general warehouse, yard, and production line duties as required
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, accuracy, and quality standards at all times
• working on a specific load manifest
• full training and support with experienced team members

38 hour weeks and option to work 4 hours on Sat
