Job description

Permanent full-time working 38 hours per week. We are seeking a mechanically minded individual with the ability to understand basic machinery functions. The ideal candidate has a high attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. You will be part of a 3-person production team operating multiple machines across our small, clean and modern facility in Seventeen Mile Rocks. The role primarily consists of operating machinery, maintaining equipment and collaborating with cross-functional teams. In conjunction with operating machinery, you will be required to learn receiving and dispatching duties and other manufacturing functions. This will include forklift work therefore a current forklift license is essential. Training in all areas of the role will be provided.

Key responsibilities

Operation of machinery in designated work area adhering to the production schedule

Ensure materials are selected and manufactured as specified on working order

Ensure products are manufactured to meet specified quality standards

Identify, document and report on non-conforming products

Ensure all tools and testing equipment are calibrated to the required standard

Operate as part of a cross-functional team

Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency

Uphold company values and policies

Comply with quality and safety requirements

About you

Ability to operate machines and tools in an efficient, effective and safe manner after training

Ability to read and interpret specifications and purchase orders

Able to use measuring equipment required to check incoming materials (including vernier calipers, tape measure, etc)

Capable of working with minimal supervision in an organized manner and keeping to the production plan and schedule

Above average numeracy and literacy skills

Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner

Knowledgeable of general manufacturing processes

Computer literate, able to use word, excel and the ability to learn internal compliance software

Interest in workplace safety, must be safety focused in performing tasks
