Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a closely relevant field with at least 12 months of employment experience in the field.
• Strong verbal and written skills to explain options, terms and exclusions clearly.
• Ability to negotiate premiums and terms with insurers.
• Accurate preparation of quotations and policy documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ insurance needs and risk exposures to identify suitable cover.
• Research and compare policies, premiums, exclusions and benefits across insurers.
• Provide advice and recommend appropriate coverage.
• Negotiate terms and premiums with insurers on behalf of clients.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and supporting documentation.
• Manage renewals, amendments and cancellations to ensure appropriate cover.
• Assist clients with claims and liaise with insurers throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate client records and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers and underwriters.

FINGUARD FINANCIAL SERVICES PTY LTD 107 Miles Platting Road, Eight Mile Plains, QLD 4113 Full Time Insurance Broker $80,000 to $90,000 + superannuation 38 hours per week Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ insurance needs, financial circumstances and risk exposures to identify suitable cover.
• Research and compare insurance policies, premiums, exclusions and benefits across insurers.
• Provide advice on insurance products and recommend appropriate coverage.
• Negotiate policy terms, premiums and coverage with insurers on behalf of clients.
• Prepare quotations, insurance proposals and supporting documentation, and arrange policy placement.
• Manage policy renewals, amendments and cancellations, ensuring cover remains appropriate to clients’ needs.
• Assist clients with insurance claims and liaise with insurers throughout the claims process.
• Maintain accurate client records and comply with applicable regulatory, disclosure and professional requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers and underwriters.

Required Skills

• Diploma or Advance Diploma in closely relevant field is highly preferred with minimum of 12 months employment experience in the relevant field
• Strong verbal and written skills to explain insurance options, policy terms and exclusions clearly.
• Ability to negotiate competitive premiums, suitable coverage and policy terms with insurers.
• Accuracy in preparing quotations, applications and policy documentation.
• Sound understanding of insurance products, underwriting processes and relevant compliance obligations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, client management systems and insurance platforms

English – Knowledge of additional languages other than English will be an asset
