InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef is hiring a Front Office Supervisor on Hayman Island to lead the Front Office Team and deliver exceptional guest experiences amidst a stunning island backdrop.

You will oversee arrivals and departures, coach staff, and ensure personalised service at every guest touchpoint, while maintaining a calm, confident leadership presence during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Related experience in Front Office.
• Luxury hotel or resort supervisory experience desirable.
• Demonstrated guest interaction and specialist service experience essential.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Tech-savvy with good IT skills.
• Full and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Front Office Team during busy periods.
• Oversee check-in/check-out and guest arrivals/departures.
• Ensure seamless arrivals and departures and anticipate guest needs.
• Set the tone for guest service quality and personalise experiences.
• Create a calm, confident leadership presence for the team.

As Front Office Supervisor on Hayman Island, you won’t just be supervising a team - you’ll be setting the tone for the entire guest experience. From the excitement of a guest’s arrival to their final farewell, you’ll be right at the centre of the action, leading a team that creates effortless, personalised and genuinely memorable stays in one of Australia’s most spectacular destinations.

You’ll support management in taking charge of the Front Office Team, keep arrivals and departures running seamlessly, anticipate guest needs and be the calm, confident leader your team can rely on when the resort is at its busiest. Whether it’s welcoming a first‑time visitor, turning a special occasion into something unforgettable or finding the perfect solution to an unexpected challenge, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference every day.

But this role is about more than keeping the operation running. You’ll lead from the front by coaching, motivating and supporting your team while creating a culture where people feel supported, confident and proud of the service they deliver.

Base rate $31.75 + penalties + loading
