EVT Hotels in Melbourne is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the Front Office and oversee hotel operations in the General Manager’s absence. You’ll drive guest service excellence, supervise the Front Office, manage rostering, and uphold safety standards to ensure smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates bring proven leadership in hotel settings, strong guest-relation skills, knowledge of PMS, and the ability to resolve issues swiftly while promoting upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a hotel Duty Manager or Front Office leadership role.
• Strong leadership to motivate, train and develop a team.
• Commercial awareness including room rates and cost control.
• Excellent guest service and complaint resolution skills.
• Working knowledge of hotel property management systems.
• Understanding of WH&S, fire and evacuation procedures.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise the Front Office team, ensuring staffing and service standards.
• Ambassador role: greet guests, host VIPs, resolve guest requests and complaints.
• Maximise ADR and occupancy; promote hotel features and upsell opportunities.
• Control costs, rostering, overtime, cashiering, floats and tills per budget.
• Oversee hotel safety, incident reporting, crisis management and WH&S compliance.
• Coach and develop team through training and clear communication.
