Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking an experienced Duty Manager for a leadership role at a Holiday Inn brand property in Sydney. You will supervise guest services, drive team performance, and manage daily hotel operations to deliver memorable stays.

Expect a hands-on leader who communicates effectively, handles guest issues with poise, and partners with the Front Office Manager to maintain high standards and safety. Evening/weekend shifts are typical.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of front desk/guest service leadership experience in hotel front office.
• Minimum Diploma or equivalent; some tertiary education preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead guest experiences, oversee team performance and hotel operations.
• Respond to guest needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct daily briefings and support busy periods with clear communication.
