Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking an Assistant Night Manager for the Holiday Inn Potts Point, Sydney, to lead overnight operations and guest services from 11.00pm to 7.00am. You will supervise colleagues, oversee the night audit, and uphold IHG standards in a busy, well‑positioned hotel.

The role requires 3+ years in hotel front office, 2+ years in supervision, a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration or related field, and experience with Opera.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in hotel front office or guest services with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s level qualification in Hotel Administration or related discipline.
• Experience with Opera or equivalent front office software.
• Strong numeracy and confident communication with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight hotel operations during the night shift.
• Train and supervise colleagues to meet quality and service standards.
• Ensure prompt, professional guest service and personal recognition.
• Handle and secure financial transactions; maintain float and perform night audit.
• Prepare and review daily financial reports with the finance team.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and ensure safety and compliance.
• Adhere to health, safety, and brand standards and local policies.
• Promote IHG Rewards Club training and deliver service consistently.
