Job summary

Crest Dry Cleaners & Laundry in Geelong is seeking a friendly Customer Service Assistant (casual) to join our retail team. You’ll work at the front counter handling drop-offs, collections and customer inquiries across our six stores with 10–20 hours per week and rotating Saturday shifts.

You don’t need previous dry-cleaning experience—full training will be provided. Ideal candidates are people-focused, reliable and capable of multitasking in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in customer service or retail.
• Friendly, confident, enjoys talking with customers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Receive, tag and detail garments and household items.
• Enter and process orders through the POS system.
• Check garments for stains or special cleaning needs.
• Assemble and check completed orders for collection.
• Liaise with dry cleaners, pressers and production team.
• Track orders and keep customers updated.
• Process customer payments and invoices.
• Provide general advice on fabrics and garment care.

With six retail locations, a large production facility and a growing team, we’re looking for a friendly, outgoing and energetic Customer Service Assistant to join our retail team.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys dealing with people, takes pride in providing great service and is comfortable working in a busy environment.

Customer Service Assistant – Casual

10–20 hours per week

The Role

This is a customer-facing, front counter position where you’ll be responsible for looking after our customers and their garments from drop-off through to collection.

The position is casual, approximately 10–20 hours per week, with shifts across our Geelong stores and a rotating Saturday morning shift.

Key Duties

• Greeting customers and providing friendly, professional service

• Receiving, tagging and detailing garments and household items

• Entering and processing orders through our point-of-sale (POS) system

• Checking garments and identifying any stains, damage or special cleaning requirements

• Assembling and checking completed orders ready for collection

• Liaising with our dry cleaners, pressers and production team

• Tracking orders and keeping customers updated when required

• Processing customer payments and invoices

• Providing customers with general advice on fabrics, cleaning and garment care

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have at least 3 years' experience in customer service, retail or a similar customer-facing role

• Are friendly, confident and enjoy talking with customers

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in getting things right

• Can multitask and stay organised in a busy environment

• Are reliable, punctual and able to work independently

• Enjoy being part of a team and are happy to lend a hand when needed

• Have basic computer skills, with POS experience an advantage

Previous dry-cleaning or laundry experience is not required — full training will be provided.
