Job summary

Team Spirit Sports in Kempsey, NSW is seeking a Reception & Retail Sales Assistant to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be the first point of contact for customers, both in-store and over the phone, helping with school uniforms and sportswear purchases.

In this hands-on role you will handle front desk operations, processing sales, and supporting order fulfilment while maintaining a welcoming, well-organised shop environment. Experience in admin or customer service is valued.

Team Spirit Sports is a fast-growing business that specialises in custom-made teamwear and uniforms for sporting clubs, schools, and organisations across Australia and internationally. With a strong focus on quality, service, and local manufacturing, we proudly operate from our head office, warehouse, and Australian Made factory based in the Mid North Coast Industrial Hub, conveniently located next to the Kempsey Service Centre on the Pacific Highway.

The Role: Reception & Retail Sales Assistant

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a friendly, well-organised, and customer-focused individual to join our team in a permanent, full-time position. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

You will be the first point of contact for customers both in person and over the phone, playing a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of our front office and retail school uniform shop. From assisting local families with their school uniform needs to keeping our reception running smoothly, this is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answering and professionally redirecting incoming phone calls.
• Greeting customers in-store and assisting with enquiries and sales.
• Processing transactions using our Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Assisting with a range of operational tasks as required, including picking and packing orders, creating box labels, and dispatching orders.
• Maintaining customer files, order records, and other business documentation.
• Completing general administrative tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Gmail.
• Ensuring the front desk and retail area are clean, organised, and welcoming at all times.

About You

You’ll ideally have some previous experience in administration, reception, or customer service, but more importantly, you’ll bring a positive attitude, be well presented, and enjoy being the face of the business.
