Job summary

RSA Logistics Pty Ltd in Melbourne's Tullamarine is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Team Leader to join our operations team. This full-time role will lead, manage and develop a high-performing team within our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations.

You will drive operational excellence, maintain safety standards, and oversee day-to-day supervision and performance of team members, reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising in manufacturing, transport or logistics.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements in logistics/warehousing.
• Ability to motivate and develop diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and record-keeping.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and manage daily team activities to ensure targets are met and operations run smoothly.
• Conduct induction, training and development of team members to ensure competency and compliance with company procedures.
• Monitor team performance metrics and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Ensure all health, safety and environmental regulations are adhered to across your team.
• Investigate and resolve workplace incidents, hazards and near-misses promptly.
• Maintain accurate records including timesheets, attendance, training logs and incident reports.
• Foster a positive team culture and handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within team operations.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding and scheduling of team members as required.
