Job summary

RSA Logistics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Team Leader to join our operations team in Tullamarine VIC. This is a full-time position that focuses on leading, managing and developing a high-performing team within our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations.

As Team Leader you will supervise day-to-day activities, mentor staff, monitor performance metrics, ensure safety compliance and drive productivity across your team.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team in manufacturing, transport or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements in logistics/warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily team activities to meet targets and ensure smooth operations.

RSA Logistics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Team Leader to join our operations team in Tullamarine VIC. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead, manage and develop a high-performing team within our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations. As Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining safety standards, and driving productivity across your team. This position reports to management and has direct responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and performance of your team members.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and manage daily team activities to ensure targets are met and operations run smoothly
• Conduct induction, training and development of team members to ensure competency and compliance with company procedures
• Monitor team performance metrics and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
• Ensure all health, safety and environmental regulations are adhered to across your team
• Investigate and resolve workplace incidents, hazards and near-misses promptly
• Maintain accurate records including timesheets, attendance, training logs and incident reports
• Foster a positive team culture and handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth operations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within team operations
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding and scheduling of team members as required

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within manufacturing, transport or logistics operations
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, particularly relevant to logistics and warehousing environments
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, manage and develop diverse teams effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
• Sound organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Problem-solving capability and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in basic computer systems and record-keeping practices
• A commitment to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Relevant formal qualifications or certifications in team leadership, supervision or health and safety (desirable)
• Knowledge of relevant legislation such as occupational health and safety laws
