Job summary

people2people is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new freight forwarding opportunities across Victoria. This hunter role focuses on air, ocean, and integrated logistics, backed by AI-powered tools and a modern sales environment.

Reporting to National Sales Manager, you will build relationships with importers/exporters and manage the full sales cycle in HubSpot CRM, targeting ongoing growth and rewarded performance.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in a Business Development, Sales Executive or similar role within freight forwarding.
• Exposure to international air and ocean freight solutions.
• Proven ability to generate and convert new business opportunities.
• Understanding of freight forwarding terminology and processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• CRM usage to manage activities and pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and secure new freight forwarding business opportunities.
• Build relationships with importers, exporters and supply chain decision-makers.
• Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to onboarding.
• Prepare customer proposals and commercial solutions.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline in HubSpot CRM.
• Collaborate with operations and customer service to deliver outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to grow and expand customer relationships.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPI expectations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and market developments.
