Job summary

Veritas Recruitment represents an established international freight forwarding business in the Inner-Northern Suburbs of Melbourne seeking an accounts receivable professional. The role is hands-on and varied, covering invoicing, collections, banking reconciliations and general administration within a busy, collaborative team.

You will issue invoices, manage overdue accounts by phone and email, process daily banking, allocate receipts and maintain debtor records.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable and collections.
• Experience in banking reconciliations.
• Freight forwarding, logistics, or similar industry experience is advantageous.
• Proficient with Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Raising and issuing invoices to clients accurately and promptly.
• Managing the collections process - following up on outstanding accounts via phone and email.
• Processing daily banking transactions and completing bank reconciliations.
• Allocating receipts and maintaining accurate debtor records.
• Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve account queries and disputes.
• Providing general administrative support to operations and finance teams.
• Data entry and maintenance of records within freight forwarding software systems.
• Assisting with month-end reconciliations and reporting as required.
• Coordinating documentation and correspondence related to freight shipments.
