Job summary

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a growing international specialty insurer to hire a Finance Analyst in Sydney. The role focuses on forward-looking FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, modelling and performance reporting, with exposure to senior stakeholders and a strong commercial orientation.

You’ll work in a flexible hybrid setup (three days per week in the CBD office), analyze key drivers, develop financial models and provide insights to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or FP&A role within the insurance industry.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate meaningful commercial insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Prepare financial analysis, management reporting and variance commentary.
• Develop financial models and provide insights into business performance.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand financial results, identify trends and support commercial decisions.
• Analyse key business drivers and highlight opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.
• Support the development of reporting processes, systems and analytical capabilities as the business grows.
