Job summary

Sharp and Carter in Sydney is seeking a Finance Analyst for an insurance FP&A remit, focusing on forward-looking planning, budgeting, forecasting and commercial insight generation. The role reports to the local finance lead and centres on value-added analysis to drive performance.

Hybrid working arrangement available with three days per week in the CBD office, offering strong work-life balance and exposure to senior leadership within a growing APAC business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or FP&A role within the insurance industry.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate meaningful commercial insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence with financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Prepare financial analysis, management reporting and variance commentary.
• Develop financial models and provide insights into business performance.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand financial results and support commercial decisions.
• Analyse key drivers and highlight opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.
• Support development of reporting processes, systems and analytical capabilities as the business grows.
