Job summary

Googong High School seeks a Head Teacher of Technological and Applied Studies to lead a pioneering STEM faculty as the school opens for Year 7–8 in 2027. You will guide curriculum, operations and personnel across a large team of teachers and drive interdisciplinary programs within the faculty and wider school.

The role starts in term 4 to help establish the new school, refining curriculum design, supporting incoming teachers and assisting in the school’s operational setup.

Qualifications

• Successful teaching experience and capacity to initiate improvements in teaching and classroom practice.
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare to lead inclusive programs.
• Educational leadership to build capacity and manage teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of a high-impact STEM curriculum across Mathematics, Science and TAS.
• Plan for rapid growth and expansion of the faculty and school operations.
• Develop, refine and implement curriculum design and support for incoming teachers.
