Job summary

CGC Recruitment is partnering with a Sydney developer-builder to recruit a hands-on Foreman for a high-end apartment project on the Lower North Shore. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will coordinate trades, monitor timelines and uphold premium quality on site.

This long-term opportunity offers mentoring from an experienced Site Manager and Construction Director, with a clear path toward site management and a salary of AUD 130,000–150,000 plus super.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Foreman or Leading Hand on multi-storey residential or apartment projects with high-end finishes.
• Trade background (carpentry preferred) or equivalent site experience.
• Strong eye for detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Solid understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination and NSW site safety requirements.
• Confident communicator who works well under a Site Manager and directs trades effectively.
• Current NSW White Card is essential; other safety certifications are a bonus.
• Reliable, punctual and solutions-focused.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades day to day, in line with the Site Manager's program.
• Keep works on schedule and flag delays, clashes and risks early.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets drawings, specs and premium quality.
• Lead by example on site safety, including inductions, toolbox talks and SWMS checks.
• Keep the site organised, secure and compliant, including deliveries and neighbours.
• Track and close out defects promptly and report daily to the Site Manager.

We're partnering with an award-winning Sydney developer-builder that creates bespoke, handcrafted luxury residences in premium harbourside locations. They're looking for a hands‑on Foreman to join their team on a high‑end apartment project on the Lower North Shore.

Reporting to an experienced Site Manager, you'll run trades on the ground and drive quality on a project where finishes and attention to detail matter. Our client works with the same trusted team on every project, so this is a stable, long‑term opportunity for someone who wants to grow with a builder that backs its people.

The role

• Inspect work as it progresses to make sure it meets drawings, specifications and premium quality standards
• Lead by example on site safety, including inductions, toolbox talks and SWMS checks
• Keep the site organised, secure and compliant, including deliveries, access and neighbour-sensitive works
• Track and close out defects promptly
• Report daily to the Site Manager and keep site records up to date

About you

• Proven experience as a Foreman or Leading Hand on multi-storey residential or apartment projects; high‑end or luxury finishes are highly regarded
• Trade background (carpentry preferred) or equivalent site experience
• A strong eye for detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Solid understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination and NSW site safety requirements
• Confident communicator who works well under a Site Manager and directs trades effectively
• Current NSW White Card (essential); working at heights, first aid, or Cert III/IV are a bonus
• Reliable, punctual and solutions-focused
• Full driver's licence and the right to work in Australia
