Estia Health is seeking a kitchen professional to support our aged care residents with daily food preparation and services at our Queensland locations.

You will work as part of a caring team to prepare meals, maintain hygiene standards, and help adapt menus to residents' preferences while following the Food Safety Program.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work, preferably in aged care.
• Completed Basic Food Handling Course or equivalent.
• Strong time management and planning skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepping food and drinks for residents.
• Cleaning duties including dishes and workspace upkeep.
• Collaborate with team and residents to update menus and meals.
• Maintain records as part of the Food Safety Program.

About the Role

You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do.

Here’s what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) - you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people's lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
