Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a kitchen role to support meal preparation and food service for residents across Australia. You will prep meals, help keep the kitchen clean, and assist with menu changes in collaboration with the team and residents.

The position requires an interest in aged care, good time management, and the Basic Food Handling Course. A supportive team and community-focused environment are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work is required or a bonus in aged care.
• Completing the Basic Food Handling Course is preferred.
• Ability to prep, clean, and support menu changes.

About the Role

You'll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do.

Here's what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) - you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You'll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You'll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people's lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
