Job summary

Estia Health is seeking dedicated kitchen staff for our aged care homes in Australia. You’ll help prepare meals, clean and assist with menus, and maintain records as part of our Food Safety Program.

You’ll be on your feet most shifts and work as part of a supportive team committed to high-quality, person-centered care. Experience in kitchen work is valued; completion of the Basic Food Handling Course is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the Basic Food Handling Course.
• Experience in kitchen work is preferred.
• Commitment to food safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepping food and drink.

About the Role

You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do.

Here’s what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) - you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
