Estia Health is seeking a hands-on kitchen team member to prepare food and drinks, support residents' meal experiences, and maintain a clean kitchen. You will work with staff to update menus and ensure adherence to the Food Safety Program.

This is a full-time role based in Queensland, Australia, with shifts that keep you active throughout your day. Ideal candidates have kitchen experience; aged care experience is a bonus, and you should demonstrate strong time management.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work is essential.
• Aged care experience is a bonus.
• Strong time management and planning skills required.
• Completion of the Basic Food Handling Course is expected.

About the Role

You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do.

Here’s what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) - you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people's lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
