Job summary

Arcare Glenhaven in Sydney is seeking a permanent part-time Dining/Kitchen Assistant to support high-quality meals and a welcoming dining experience for residents. The role focuses on assisting with meal preparation, serving, dining room setup and resident engagement to enhance comfort and wellbeing.

You will maintain kitchen hygiene, support dietary requirements and work as part of a friendly team, in a supportive, values-driven environment with above award rates.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handler’s Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
• Reliable, adaptable and eager to learn.
• Great communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Friendly, compassionate, and an adaptable team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, including basic food prep and plating.
• Serve meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements.
• Set up and maintain clean, organised dining areas.
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen hygiene standards.
• Engage positively with residents during mealtimes.

About The Role

In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality meals and create a welcoming dining experience for our residents. Your contribution will play an important role in enhancing residents’ comfort, nutrition, and overall wellbeing.

• Assist with meal preparation, including basic food prep and plating
