Job summary

Arcare Aged Care in Victoria is seeking a part-time kitchen assistant to support high‑quality meals and create a welcoming dining experience for our residents. You will help with meal prep, service and dining room upkeep while engaging with residents to enhance wellbeing.

Holders of a Food Handler’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) will thrive in a reliable, adaptable and team‑oriented environment that values communication and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Hold a Food Handler’s Certificate or willing to obtain it.
• Reliable, adaptable and eager to learn.
• Great communication and positive attitude.
• Friendly, compassionate team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, including basic food prep and plating.
• Serve meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements.
• Set up and maintain clean, organised dining areas.
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen hygiene standards.
• Engage positively with residents during mealtimes.

About The Role

In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality meals and create a welcoming dining experience for our residents. Your contribution will play an important role in enhancing residents’ comfort, nutrition, and overall wellbeing.

• Assist with meal preparation, including basic food prep and plating


• Serve meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements
