Respect is a not-for-profit aged care provider with Costa House in Lara, a 120-bed facility offering a close-knit team and meaningful work. As a Food Services Assistant you will support the Chef to prepare and serve meals, ensuring food safety and high hygiene standards across a part-time roster.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning and preparing meals alongside the Chef or Cook.
• Serve nutritious meals to residents and maintain food safety standards.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, organised and welcoming.
• Monitor temperatures and handle goods safely as per procedures.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report concerns to the RN in Charge.

About the Role

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, while maintaining high food safety standards and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, organised and welcoming.

This is a part-time position offering 21 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate must be available to work the following roster:

• Week 2: Tuesday and Thursday, 3.00 pm – 7.00 pm

No two days are the same!

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About You
