Job summary

Respect, the largest aged care provider in Regional Australia, invites applications for a Part-time Food Services Assistant at Costa House, Lara. You will work with our Chef or Cook to prepare nutritious meals and uphold food safety standards in a supportive, caring facility.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services.

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, while maintaining high food safety standards and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, organised and welcoming.

This is a part-time position offering 21 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate must be available to work the following roster:

• Week 2: Tuesday and Thursday, 3.00 pm – 7.00 pm
