Job summary

Respect, the largest aged care provider in regional Australia, is seeking a Casual Food Services Assistant to work with our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents while maintaining food safety standards. Based in a regional community, you will join a welcoming, close-knit team where every contribution is valued and opportunities to support across hotel services exist.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course is preferred.
• Current National Police Check/NDIS (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services is desirable.
• A compassionate and respectful approach to aged care.

Responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About The Role

As a Casual Food Services Assistant, you’ll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, while maintaining food safety standards and keeping the kitchen and dining areas running smoothly. Based in a regional community, this role offers a welcoming, close-knit team environment where everyone pitches in and your contribution is genuinely valued. There will also be opportunities to support across hotel services, including laundry and cleaning duties.

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About You
