Job summary

Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily front-of-house operations across cafes, function spaces and restaurants. You will lead and train staff, ensure high quality service, and champion sustainability and safety within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The role emphasizes guest experience, staff coordination and maintaining Taronga's mission to connect visitors with wildlife.

Qualifications

• Hold a current NSW Driver's License (including manual)
• RSA certification or ability to obtain it
• Hold and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check
• Current Senior First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain it

At Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, we lead conservation efforts in the field and participate in regional and global conservation breeding programs to establish insurance populations for species threatened in the wild. We also operate two wildlife hospitals that treat and rehabilitate injured native wildlife, as well as providing best practice health care for the animals at our Zoos.

About the Role…

Responsible for the day to day operations of the front of house restaurants and catering functions for Taronga Western Plains Zoo cafes, Function centre & restaurant providing and maintaining high quality customer service standards.

• Deliver the day to day operational customer service components of TWPZ's commercial operations.
• Assist in coordination, training and supervision of staff.
• Undertake general duties for both food and beverages
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors at all times and lead by example

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

• Hold a current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or the potential to obtain certification
• Hold and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at your own expense
• Current Senior First aid (or willingness to obtain) and ability to maintain this qualification at your own expense
