Job summary

Taronga Conservation Society Australia is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead front-of-house operations across our zoo cafes, function centre, and restaurant. You will supervise and train staff, ensure exceptional guest service, and uphold sustainability and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

The role is casual with Mon-Sun shifts, offering a flexible hybrid work model and benefits including passes to Taronga Sydney and Dubbo zoos, parking, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have high-level customer service experience in hospitality.
• Proven ability to supervise and train a small team.
• RSA certification or ability to obtain it.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check preferred but not mandatory.
• Senior First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.

• Casual, Mon-Sun position
• TCSA Restaurant & Retail Employees Award, Duty Officer, $37.72 per hour + weekend penalties.

About The Role…

Responsible for the day to day operations of the front of house restaurants and catering functions for Taronga Western Plains Zoo cafes, Function centre & restaurant providing and maintaining high quality customer service standards.

Key Accountabilities…

• Deliver the day to day operational customer service components of TWPZ’s commercial operations.
• Assist in coordination, training and supervision of staff.
• Undertake general duties for both food and beverages
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors at all times and lead by example

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

• Hold a current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or the potential to obtain certification
• Hold and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at your own expense
• Current Senior First aid (or willingness to obtain) and ability to maintain this qualification at your own expense
