Taronga Zoo Dubbo is seeking a Casual Chef to join Taronga Western Plains Zoo’s hospitality team, contributing to Café Wild, Café Waterhole, Savannah function center, Zoofari Lodge and Serengeti kitchen. You’ll prepare and present high-quality meals while maintaining hygiene and cost controls.
Reporting to senior kitchen staff, you’ll train apprentices and help drive sustainable kitchen practices, with a supportive team and flexible hours in a busy, visitor-facing environment.
At Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, we lead conservation efforts in the field and participate in regional and global conservation breeding programs to establish insurance populations for species threatened in the wild. We also operate two wildlife hospitals that treat and rehabilitate injured native wildlife, as well as providing best practice health care for the animals at our Zoos.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo is looking for an experienced and motivated Casual Chef to join the team!
Reporting into the Executive & Head Chef, you'll work alongside a well-oiled, passionate hospitality team, having the ability to soak up knowledge from our experienced chefs!
The role of casual chef is to contribute to the day to day operational activities working in Taronga's Café Wild, Café Waterhole, Savannah function center, Zoofari Lodge and the new Serengeti kitchen, supported by Taronga's passionate kitchen leaders.
You will provide a high standard of food in regards to preparation, cooking and presentation whilst ensuring best practice food and kitchen hygiene practices are met.
