Job summary

De Bortoli Wines invites applications for a friendly, enthusiastic Casual Food & Beverage Attendant at Locale Restaurant in the Yarra Valley. You will provide friendly service, take and process orders, and share knowledge of De Bortoli wines with guests.

This casual role includes weekend shifts and public holidays as required. You should be well-presented, reliable and passionate about hospitality, wine and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality or cellar door experience.
• Current RSA qualification.
• Knowledge of or interest in wine.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the guest experience.
• Accurately take and process food and wine orders.
• Ensure food and wine are presented to customers in accordance with required quality and service standards.
• Promote De Bortoli products and services and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and increase customer spend.
• Maintain strong knowledge of De Bortoli wines, products and services.
• Assist with daily set-up and ensure Locale Restaurant is fully prepared for service.
• Maintain clean, tidy and presentable restaurant and hospitality areas at all times.
• Complete end-of-day procedures and assist with general cleaning duties.
• Communicate any service issues or operational requirements to the supervisor.
• Work across different De Bortoli hospitality areas and at off-site venues as required.
• Follow all Work Health & Safety policies and report hazards, incidents and near misses.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Casual Food & Beverage Attendant to join our hospitality team at our Locale Restaurant in the Yarra Valley.

About the Role

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you will play an important role in delivering an outstanding dining and customer experience. You will provide friendly and professional service, accurately take and process food and wine orders, and confidently share your knowledge of De Bortoli wines, products and services with our guests. About You

You are a friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic person who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You are punctual, reliable and trustworthy, with a hands-on approach and a willingness to contribute wherever needed. You will be well-presented, professional and confident communicating with a wide range of customers. You are comfortable working independently with minimal supervision while also being a positive and supportive team member. Most importantly, you have a genuine passion for food, wine and hospitality and enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests .

• Previous restaurant, hospitality or cellar door experience.
• Relevant studies in wine or hospitality.
• Knowledge of or an interest in the wine industry.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification
