Job summary

Bayside Health is seeking a Manager, Information Release Services to lead the Freedom of Information team and ensure external information is released lawfully and efficiently. You will supervise FOI Officers and guide requests for medical records, liaising with external stakeholders and regulators as needed.

You will report to the General Counsel and work to maintain governance, performance standards, and continuous improvement across information release processes at Bayside Health.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of the principles and operation of the Freedom of Information Act.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in all aspects of the role.
• Understanding of consent and privacy considerations in information release.
• Knowledge of medical terminology to interpret requests.
• Experience working in a Freedom of Information Office.
• Able to manage relationships with external stakeholders and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Freedom of Information Officers to process information requests.
• Ensure information release complies with FOI Act and statutory obligations.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including health practitioners and regulators.
• identify issues and trends, escalate to General Counsel, and drive process improvements.
• Oversee governance, reporting, and service delivery standards for information release.
