Four Hundred in North Sydney is seeking an energetic Duty Manager to lead service on the floor alongside the Restaurant Manager. You will motivate the team and ensure guests have a great experience from a quick drink to a large group booking.

This casual role offers around 30 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, with day and night shifts. Competitive pay from $35+ per hour plus super, with staff meals and discounts across the group.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ supervisory/FOH experience in a busy bar/venue.
• NSW RSA current; RCG highly regarded.
• Confident leading a high-volume team.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with POS and booking systems; SevenRooms bonus.
• Availability Tuesday to Saturday.

Four Hundred is a Mexican-inspired rooftop bar and kitchen in the heart of North Sydney, sitting above Greenwood Plaza. With a buzzing atmosphere, great food and a serious love of tequila, we’re one of the North Shore’s favourite spots for after-work drinks, long lunches and weekend sessions.

About the Role

We’re looking for an energetic, hands-on Duty Manager to join our front of house leadership team. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you’ll lead service on the floor, support and motivate the team, and make sure every guest has a great experience, from a quick drink to a large group booking.

This is a casual role offering around 30 hours per week. Four Hundred trades Tuesday to Saturday, and you’ll need to be available across all five trading days, including day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise floor service, keeping service smooth, efficient and guest-focused
• Run pre-shift briefings and allocate sections and duties to the team
• Train, coach and support front of house staff to maintain service standards
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to keep service running seamlessly
• Oversee functions, events and large group bookings on the day
• Open and close the venue, including cash handling, end-of-day reconciliations and floor checks
• Make sure RSA, WHS and venue compliance standards are followed at all times
• Step up to support the Venue Manager when needed

About You

• At least 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory or senior front of house role in a busy bar, restaurant or venue
• A current NSW RSA (essential); an RCG is highly regarded
• Confident leading a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with POS and booking systems (experience with SevenRooms is a bonus)
• Passion for food, drinks and hospitality, with an interest in agave spirits a plus
• Availability Tuesday to Saturday
