Job summary

Retailworld Jobadder is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Melbourne to lead from the floor in a busy, high-volume retailer. You will keep the team focused, manage floor priorities, and coordinate with the leadership group to ensure daily targets are met with energy and direction.

You will mentor team members, uphold presentation standards and drive a strong customer experience across all shifts in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a busy, high-volume retail environment.
• Confidence directing a team and keeping productivity on track.
• Strong people focus with experience coaching, developing and motivating others.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving store where priorities can change quickly.
• Commercial awareness with an interest in sales, service and store performance.
• Experience within big box, large format or high stock volume retail is highly regarded.
• Adaptable, practical and happy to jump in wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, keeping the team focused, engaged and moving through each shift.
• Direct floor coverage and adjust priorities as customer demand and stock flow change.
• Coach and support team members to build confidence and future leaders.
• Maintain presentation standards and ensure the right product is in the right place.
• Support registers, fitting rooms, donor areas and overall customer experience.
• Assist with opening, closing, cash procedures, safety and loss prevention.
• Bring energy to the floor to create a positive and productive team environment.
