Job summary

Retailworld Resourcing is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a busy, high-volume Melbourne store. You’ll lead from the floor, keep the team focused, and ensure the floor runs smoothly with priorities moving in the right direction.

You’ll work with the leadership team, coach and develop staff, maintain presentation standards and deliver a memorable customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a busy, high-volume retail team.
• Confident directing a team and maintaining productivity.
• Strong people focus with coaching and motivation skills.
• Comfort in a fast-moving store with shifting priorities.
• Commercial awareness and store performance interest.
• Experience in big-box or high stock volume retail is valued.
• Adaptable and ready to jump in where needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, keep the team focused and momentum.
• Direct floor coverage and adjust to demand and stock flow.
• Coach and develop team members to build future leaders.
• Maintain presentation standards and correct product placement.
• Support registers, fitting rooms, donor areas and customer experience.
• Assist with opening, closing, cash procedures, safety and loss prevention.
• Bring energy to the floor and foster a positive team environment.
