Job summary

Ocean Beach Hotel in Shellharbour, NSW is hiring a casual Food & Beverage Attendant to join our front of house team. You will greet guests, seat customers, take orders, handle payments, and assist with beverage preparation while maintaining a welcoming dining environment.

Roles include working across floor, bar, and gaming areas. RSA is essential for all roles; gaming roles require RCG/ARCG. Flexible roster with weekends, weeknights, and public holidays is expected.

What is the role?

As a front of house team member at Ocean Beach Hotel, you are the face of our venue so your ability to make people feel welcome and make them smile is paramount to your success. Your day-to-day duties include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and seating customers
• Cleaning, clearing, and resetting tables
• Taking orders and making payments
• Preparing beverages and cocktails
• Washing and restocking glassware
• Managing customers and pre-empting RSA issues
• Attending to gaming machines and providing payouts

For specialized roles in Gaming and/or Bar & Cocktail experience is required.

What is needed to be successful in this role?

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) – Essential for all roles
• Current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) – Essential for those wanting to work in Gaming roles
• Current Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gaming (ARCG) – Essential for those wanting to work in Gaming roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team as well as autonomously when required
• Ability to work a flexible roster including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and public holidays
• Ability to work in a diverse team in a busy environment
• Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency
