Job summary

Busways Group seeks a Workers Compensation Case Management Specialist to coordinate injury management and claims within a self-insurance framework in NSW. This role focuses on early intervention, compliance, and positive recovery outcomes while supporting safe transport services.

You’ll collaborate with injured workers and stakeholders to drive timely outcomes, maintain data quality, and provide expert guidance on entitlements and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in workers compensation claims management.
• Experience in self-insurance environments is highly regarded.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to learn workflows and Power Automate.
• Ability to manage complex or sensitive situations with professionalism.
• Australian citizen, permanent resident or valid working rights.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of an injured worker's notification and/or claim, including claim management, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.
• Manage end-to-end portfolio of workers compensation claims for physical and psychological injuries within a self-insurance framework.
• Apply legislative requirements and processes to entitlements and benefits.
• Engage in early injury management planning with workers and stakeholders to support recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
• Provide expert advice on workers compensation and injury management issues for workers, managers and leaders.
• Enter accurate and timely claims data to meet SIRA data quality requirements.
• Uphold SIRA Customer Service Principles with a person-centric approach.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed.
