Job summary

Toro in Townsville is seeking a part-time Service Advisor to join the service team. This role combines customer service, service coordination and parts support, with a focus on delivering outstanding service from first enquiry through to job completion.

The position offers 22.5 hours per week, with flexibility across up to five days to suit school hours or personal commitments. You will work closely with technicians, the Service Manager and customers to keep the workshop running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, service coordination or customer support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised with attention to detail and good numeracy/literacy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic software tools.
• Ability to multitask in a busy workshop/service environment.
• Experience with parts interpretation and spare parts knowledge is beneficial.
• Mechanical aptitude or technical understanding is advantageous.
• Experience in automotive, agricultural, turf or construction equipment service environments is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with service management systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming customer inquiries via phone and email.
• Coordinate service work orders and technician scheduling.
• Assist with parts enquiries and ordering of spare parts.
• Prepare quotes in consultation with the Service Manager.
• Maintain accurate job cards and service records.
• Provide excellent customer updates on progress and timelines.
• Support invoicing and basic service administration tasks.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure parts availability.
