Job summary

Project Health General Practice in Traralgon, VIC is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for casual cover during annual leave and sick leave, with potential for permanent appointment.

You will be the first point of contact, handling appointments, patient records, billing, and communications. We offer flexible hours, above‑award rates, paid training, CPR courses, and a supportive team in a clinic focused on skin care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in medical software (Best Practice preferred) and office equipment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred.
• CPR training certificate at least 3 yearly (we provide training opportunities annually)
• Current Working with Children Check

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
• Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries efficiently
• Process billing and payments
• Ensure the practice building and rooms are clean, tidy and accessible
• Assist with administrative tasks as required
