Job summary

TAL Australia is seeking a Claims Governance & Risk Specialist to strengthen risk and governance practices across our claims function. You will embed compliant, commercially sound decision making and lead regulatory and audit responses, while partnering with stakeholders to uplift processes, controls and training.

The role focuses on identifying risk trends, improving outcomes, and supporting a culture of risk awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk, compliance or technical claims within a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of life insurance frameworks, claims handling and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyse problems and deliver practical solutions that improve processes and outcomes.
• Confident communicator who can translate technical concepts into clear insights.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships across levels.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and commitment to improvement.

• Identify and address risk trends, delivering recommendations to strengthen claims practices.
