Job summary

TAL is recruiting a Claims Consultant in Sydney to proactively manage a portfolio of complex Retail Income Protection claims, aligning with TAL's claims philosophy and policy terms.

You will deliver an outstanding customer experience for claimants and advisers, maintain regular updates, and collaborate with a high-performing team to balance customer outcomes with commercial objectives, with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience managing Life Insurance claims, ideally across Retail Income Protection, TPD, or Group Insurance.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust, rapport and empathy with customers in challenging circumstances.
• Strong case management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and sound judgement on claim decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for interacting with customers, advisers and medical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex, high-value Income Protection claims within a large claims team.
• Deliver an exceptional customer and client experience with clear updates on progress.
