Job summary

Busways seeks an experienced Workshop Supervisor at the Willoughby depot to lead a skilled workshop team in maintaining our fleet. You will coordinate rosters, supervise maintenance and warranty activities, and ensure WHS compliance while guiding apprentices and staff.

We offer a competitive package with a total gross salary up to AUD 125,000 plus vehicle or vehicle allowance, plus in-house leadership training and career progression opportunities within a supportive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential.
• Experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities would be highly regarded.
• Minimum 3-5 years working as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.
• Mentoring apprentices to grow within the team.
• Day-to-day running of the workshop.
• Adherence to WHS regulations and company policies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate rosters and leave planning to support depot maintenance.
• Plan and supervise supply and warranty activities; monitor inventory.
• Manage daily depot maintenance activities by staff and contractors.
• Allocate repair resources for scheduled maintenance and heavy vehicle inspections.
• Ensure timely service work and a clean, safe workshop.
• Supervise and train apprentices and staff on required tasks.
• Conduct BEV lifecycle management and sustainability reporting.
