Job summary

Greater Shepparton City Council in Shepparton, VIC is seeking an experienced leader to join the Infrastructure team as Team Leader Plant, Fleet & Stores. You will oversee the day-to-day management of Council's fleet, plant and stores operations, guiding a dedicated team to keep vehicles and equipment safe, compliant and available for service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading fleet, plant, workshop or asset management teams.
• Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance and lifecycle management.
• Experience with budgets, contracts and procurement activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Plant, Fleet and Stores team.
• Manage fleet and plant maintenance, replacement and utilisation programs.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, safety standards and policies.
• Oversee stores operations, inventory management and procurement.
• Develop and monitor operating budgets and service performance.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
