Job summary

Kahlon Bros Transport in Wauchope NSW is seeking a Fleet Manager to lead fleet planning, scheduling and compliance. You will oversee purchases, maintenance, and supplier contracts while coordinating with drivers and clients to ensure timely delivery of freight services.

The role requires a diploma or higher in logistics/transport management and at least 1 year of fleet/transport operations experience, with strong communication and budgeting skills. A heavy vehicle licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in logistics/transport management or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant paid work experience in fleet management or transport operations.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance planning and transport scheduling.
• Understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law and WHS requirements.
• Current Australian driver licence; heavy vehicle licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan purchase, leasing and sale of fleet vehicles to meet operating needs and budget.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, fuel, tyres and equipment purchases.
• Manage registrations, insurance, compliance and permits for fleet.
• Liaise with clients on freight requirements and advise on vehicle types and rates.
• Schedule daily/weekly deliveries to optimise vehicle and driver use.
• Supervise drivers and inductions; ensure licences and company procedures are followed.
