Job summary

Visy is seeking a Fitter Operator to run and maintain production lines in a safe, efficient manner. You will operate plant machinery, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, and diagnose faults to minimise downtime.

You must be a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with FMCG experience and a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement. The role includes a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and opportunities for on-the-job development within Visy.

Job description

As a Fitter Operator, you’ll run production machines and equipment to keep the line operating safely and smoothly. You’ll also use your trade skills to maintain, repair and improve plant machinery, ensuring reliable performance and minimal downtime.

• Rotating Shift: 12-hour shifts on a 3-week rotating roster (5.5-day week)

What you’ll do:

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment as part of daily responsibilities within production operations
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutions
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruptions and improve efficiency

What You Will Bring:

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent)
