Job summary

Ventia in partnership with the Australian Defence Force require a permanent full-time Fitter to join the team at our state-of-the-art facility in Moorebank NSW. As our Fitter, you will undertake maintenance on specialist Defence equipment, including installation, inspection, repairs, modification and reconditioning of military armaments, small engines, and perform general engineering tasks.

You’ll examine detailed specifications, operate machines, check quality, fit and assemble parts, and

Qualifications

• Must be a trade-qualified Fitter and Turner (Certificate III).
• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain Australian Defence Clearance.
• Holder of a current Drivers Licence - C Class.

Responsibilities

• Examine detailed specifications to determine requirements of the job.
• Operate machines to produce or modify required parts or tools.
• Check quality of finished parts.
• Fit and assemble parts.
• Provide technical advice to equipment operators.
• Repair and maintain miscellaneous equipment including small engines, general service, and marine equipment.
