Job summary

Ventia is recruiting an Electrical Fitter for the Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Amberley. You will maintain, service and repair field power generators, AC systems, and mobile refrigeration units on Defence vehicles and equipment.

The role requires a Certificate III in Electrical Fitting and a QLD electrical licence, plus a current Australian manual driver's licence. An Australian citizen with the ability to obtain Defence clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrical Fitting / Electrotechnology required.
• QLD Electrical Licence/tickets relevant to the role.
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, test and repair field power generators and field power generation plant and equipment.
• Maintain, repair and service air conditioning systems.
• Maintain, service, test and repair mobile refrigeration units.
• Work with computer-controlled diagnostic and management systems.
• Refer to circuit diagrams and use meters and test instruments to find electrical faults.
• Adjust control systems and timing to ensure plant and equipment are running at peak performance.

A great opportunity for an Electrical Fitter to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Amberley.

As an Electrical Fitter you will perform tasks associated with install, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment and wiring in Defence vehicles, trailers, plant and equipment.
